The Marriage of Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro): Abridged concert oncert version with piano performed in Italian.  Conducted by Keith Chambers.  Mozart’s opera The Marriage of Figaro is based on the Beaumarchais play of the same name.  The opera is set in a country estate outside of Seville in the late eighteenth century.  Figaro, Count Almaviva’s valet and Susanna, Countess Almaviva’s maid plan to marry later that day.   However, the Count is trying to seduce her before the wedding can take place.  The Countess is still very much in love with her husband is crushed by his incessant philandering. She conspires with Figaro and Susanna to teach him a lesson.  

The performance is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
